BAYTOWN SPUR CLUB

Purpose

The Baytown Spur Club is comprised of individuals interested in guaranteeing the success of young people who participate in the Baytown Youth Fair by raising and/or making a project for the auction. The Spur Club will assist the auction buyers who have supported youth involved in 4-H and FFA activities. The goal of the Baytown Spur Club is add money to auction items and to subsidize the sale of projects that did not make the sale.  The Baytown Spur Club may also utilize funds for improvements to facilities that would further benefit participants.

Disbursements

Disbursements will be made by the Directors of the Spur Club. Those Directors include: Donnie & Sheri White, Ronnie & Barbara Lemma, Cody & Dana Brown. These individuals will determine how much should be added to an auction project or whether auction projects should be purchased. In addition, these individuals will decide whether or not to purchase projects that did not make the sale. In the event that additional monies are available, these individuals will evaluate BYF needs and decide whether or not to support those needs (i.e. new show arena or rodeo arena).  Monies may also remain in the account to be used for the same purpose in the following years.

Donations

Donations will be in the amount no less than $100.00. Expenses for the operation of the Spur Club will come from donations (i.e. belt buckles, caps, shirts, badges, advertisements, etc). Financial records will be available upon request for any contributor and will be provided annually to the Baytown Youth Fair Treasurer. After distributions are made each contributor will receive a letter stating how their contributions were distributed. The Spur Club is a part of the Baytown Youth Fair & Livestock Association a 501(3) c nonprofit organization making your donation tax deductible in conjunction with today’s tax laws.
