Rules and Regulations
1. Contestants must reside in Goose Creek CISD. There will be NO exceptions.
2. There will be two age groups. Age is determined as of April 30, 2009.
a. JR Princess - Age 4-7 years old
b. Princess - Age 8-10 years ole
3. Dress attire must be "Western Style." A hat is suggested, as the winner's crown is designed to be worn on a hat.
4. There will be a $15.00 entry fee which must accompany the entry form. The entry fee is non-refundable donation to the Baytown Youth Fair. Checks should be made to Baytown Youth Fair Association.
5. DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES WILL BE 8:00 P.M., THURSDAY, MAY 7, 2009.
6. Judging will be held in the Activities Building at the Baytown Youth Fair Grounds, 7900 North Main, on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 2:00 P.M..
7. Contestants will need to be there NO later than 1:30 P.M..
8. Contestants will walk up the runway, make a turn to give front and back view and walk to designated spot where the emcee will interview each participant.
9. Contestants will be judged on poise, personality and apperal.
10. The winners will ride in the Friday and Satuday Night Grand Entry of the Baytown Rodeo. Free passes to the Friday and Saturday night rodeo will be issued to the winners and their parents or guardians.
11. The winners from eachof the two age groups will receive a sash and crown. The first runner-up from each group will receive a trophy. Others will receive a honorable mention trophy.
12. Winners must be available for the following:
a. Grand Entry of the Rodeo each night
b. Any publicity promoting the Baytown Youth Fair
c. Baytown Christmas Parade - Winner must contact Baytown Parks & Recreations department on Market St. if they choose to participate.
d. Crown the 2010 Winner.
13. Decisions of the judges will be final.
